Create with love

Daud Quality Care

*DQC is an MN-based Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) provider. We believe that love is a crucial component of care since it helps our clients’ rehabilitation while also assisting our caregivers in transforming themselves and the system. Making them feel loved entails attending to their needs and demonstrating respect for human values, cooperation, and kindness.

OUR CHARACTER

We use the “Theory of Human Caring” by nursing theorist Jean Watson as the basis of our work. In Watson’s view, it is impossible to provide care without simultaneously showing oneself love, respect, and self-esteem. We truly believe that love and care are complementary and support the development of an excellent personality

The word “Daud” means “beloved”, “Caritas” comes from the Greek word meaning “to cherish, to appreciate, to give special attention, if not loving attention to.

Watson as cited in Parker, 2001, p. 345

What does offering high-quality care have to do with love?

The answer is “moral responsibility”. In a relationship setting, a caregiver is constantly in situations with  clients that make it a moral obligation to express affection.
Respecting the dignity and individuality of our  clients is essential for good treatment. For this, we are concerned with selecting a team that, in addition to having technical skills, has human skills. Care, patience, and affection bring hope and create bonds that help overcome even the most difficult stages of recovery.
